The viewers have spoken, and apparently trash reality TV is still winning. Oxygen’s new show All About Aubrey, featuring former Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day, has become the network’s most-watched docu-series launch in the network’s history in the key demographics (it debuted Monday).
All About Aubrey drew highs in total viewers (724,000) and both the 18–49 (557,000) and 18–34 (450,000) demos. The series also set records in women 18–49 (423,000) and women 18–34 (337,000) demos.
And in other news…
Tami and Evelyn’s fight was clearly on people’s agendas for Sunday night: The second season finale of VH1’s Basketball Wives drew 2.3 million viewers and snagged a 1.5 rating in the 18–49 demo, making it the highest-rated episode to date.
It’s funny listening to people trash-talk reality TV; it’s probably those same folks who sneak and watch it, hence the ratings. You already know there’s no shame in my game. I used to call it a guilty pleasure but I’m beyond the guilty part now. It’s just entertaining to watch someone else’s train wreck—as long as it’s not me embarrassing my mother.
