The Jersey Shore kids will be shooting season four in their motherland (most of their motherland’s, anyway). Yep, they’re going to Italy.
According to MTV.com, while Jersey Shore is a popular program internationally, there are bound to be plenty of people oblivious to “The Situation” and his colorful cronies, as well as the circus of debauchery they bring with them to every locale. Who knows how the OGs of Italy will react to our self-proclaimed guidos and guidettes?
By the way, Vinny’s first generation family is down for the ride. They will be nearby to offer comfort food and some guidance on the cultural ways of “the beautiful country.”
Let’s just hope they don’t get into real trouble that may be handled differently overseas than in America (i.e. Snooki’s public drunkeness arrest).
In case you’re wondering, the Italian word for “grenade” is “granata.” Lastly, “gorilla juice head” in Italian is “gorilla di succo di testa.” (My google translator game for Android is on smash!)
The show begins filming in Spring of 2011 and will air later on this year.

One thing we can look forward to in January is more Jersey Shore shenanigans. Season three will return to MTV on January 6 sans Angelina. The new girl is Snooki’s childhood friend Deena. Besides the new chick everything else is still the same. The boys will be on a never ending quest for hook ups but this time they have a grenade whistle to keep them away from women they feel aren’t attractive. The girls will continue to fight–drama, drama, drama. Season two left of with Sammi having tension with Snooki and JWoww and now Deena is on in the action, siding with the latter two. Of course you thought it was either Snooki or The Situation! Nope. It’s DJ Pauly D.
After weeks of record-setting ratings for Jersey Shore, MTV is now working on a possible spinoff for Pauly DelVecchio. According to The LA Times, the premise of the project has yet to be decided. However, rumor has it that the series would follow the 28-year-old DJ on gigs around the country (insert fist pump here). It hasn’t been greenlit yet but there’s a strong possibility considering Jersey Shore’s success this season.
According to TV Guide, the most recent episode of Jersey Shore drew 5.9 million viewers on Thursday and beat new broadcast programming like NBC’s The Apprentice, with a 3.1 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic, which is a big deal to TV big wigs.
If the Pauly D show gets picked up it will probably do just well for MTV as he is seen as a second favorite out of the men in the cast (The Situation is number one). In fact, they’re probably going to drain this gravy train until the food runs out. The Situation is busy taping Dancing With The Stars but we surely haven’t seen the last of him and Snooki can’t seem to stay in a relationship so she may get her “Snookin For Love” dating show after all. That could just be my need for a new reality TV fix talking (the more dysfunctional the better) but it’s not a far fetch.
Anywho, what do you think of a Pauly D. spinoff? Would you watch?

But this time it’s not really their fault.
A woman who claims she was assaulted by the Jersey Shorekids’ bodyguards last fall has filed a claim against the entire cast of the show, according to RadarOnline.com. In addition to naming Snooki n’em, the suit also names MTV and its parent company (Viacom), as well as 495 Productions, as defendants. This isn’t the first lawsuit plaguing the show.
The alleged incident took place in September 2009, on the same night cast member Ronnie Magro was filmed punching a man who ended up unconscious. Magro was arrested for aggravated assault. In March, the couple involved in that brawl sued MTV for broadcasting what they claimed was an inaccurate depiction of a heated altercation they got into with Sammi Giancola and Magro. (The couple that sued clearly started it).
Last month, a Chicago-area woman filed suit against MTV, as well as Snooki and Jenni J-Woww, alleging that she was assaulted on camera when the cast and crew were in a Miami nightclub shooting a season two episode.
Clearly, drama follows these people. But as much as they can sometimes have nasty attitudes, people in general are being greedy. In the case of the most recent woman, why sue the cast if the bodyguards are the ones who attacked her?
One thing I’ve discovered from interviewing reality TV “stars” is that as much as they act a fool on camera, people who aren’t on the show can act just as crazy by shouting things at the cast and crew and trying to invade their space with antagonistic behavior. There’s something about being filmed and seeing people get filmed that brings out some folks’ inner bozo. However, when said idiots reap the consequences of their antics, the easiest thing to do is pretend to be the victim and try to milk the situation (no pun intended) for as much money as possible. Sad.

Brandy and Jersey Shore’sMike “The Situation” Sorrentino will be joining the cast ofDancing With The Stars 11 according to Reality TV World. Brandy was confirmed by OK! magazine a few days ago but news of The Situation is the latest word.
“We’ll have to see [if he can dance], but we can’t wait to see what he pulls off. He’s going to be hilarious,” an insider told E! News, which reported Sorrentino’s participation is a “done deal.”
So far, other leaked castmembers, according to OK!, include retired NFL quarterback Kurt Warner and Audrina Patridge formerly of The Hills. In addition, former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman and The Bachelorette couple Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez haven’t been officially confirmed but according to rumors they may also be part of this fall’s line up as well.
ABC will announce Dancing with the Stars’ eleventh-season cast in a live “press conference” that will air on August 30.
I’m excited about Brandy and, dare I say it, The Situation, but since when did reality TV folks get classified as stars.

Jersey Shore 2 hasn’t even premiered yet but the cast has already been confirmed for season 3. The network issued the following statement yesterday:
“MTV is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on season 3. Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them. Stay tuned for Jersey Shore Season 2 on July 29th.”
Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Angelina Pivarnick will not return to the show for season 3, which will find the group back in Seaside Heights, N.J. after their season 2 Miami takeover.
There were rumors that some of the cast was holding out for more money. It was never confirmed but I hope that wasn’t true (though it isn’t hard to believe). It’s amusing to watch their antics but also disturbing that people could make so much money for simply being a…jerk, for lack of a better word. Season 2 premieres next Thursday at 10pm.

Anticipation is growing for the Jersey Shore Season Twopremiere on July 29 because every one knows that season two of any ridiculous reality TV show is going to be over-the-top times ten (anything to top the previous season). MTV released a new trailer that details more madness than we’ve seen thus far. Of course thare are going to be fights (including Snooki vs. Angelina and JWoww vs. Sammi Sweetheart)! Check it out below:

Jersey Shore season two is almost upon us. There’s still a few weeks left before the full blown madness begins, but that didn’t stop MTV from posting a 13 minute trailer. This year, the crew will begin their journey in Miami but they’ll end it back on the shore.
All the kids are at the same levels of insanity, but the re-addition of Angelina will definitely stir up the pot. She left season one early because she wasn’t getting along with the girls, but what would any reality TV show with out that extra dramatic catalyst? So of course, the boys invited her back down for a “second chance.”
In other shaking my head news, Snooki is upset with President Obama because he hiked up the price of professional tanning by adding on an extra tax. Instead of going to salons like she used to, Snooki is forced to use a spray tanner (aw, poor baby), which, at $10,000 an episode, I find hard to believe. But how could you not be amused by the ridiculousness that is this show? Check out the trailer below (Snooki’s rant is at the 3:48 mark):

MTV has some changes in store for the Jersey Shore crew. The show is currently filming its second season in Miami, but they will be introduced to some big changes by the time the series returns to Seaside Heights, N.J. in July, to finish taping. New faces will be added to the cast during the second half of season two, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The original cast finishes filming in Miami at the end of May followed by a production break before rapping in July. It’s unknown how many new people will be added, or whether or not this means that original cast members will be replaced, but the new season premiers on July 29.
I don’t think there will be any replacements just yet, producers probably just want to introduce more crazy personalities to the cast to create more drama.

Whether you love ‘em or hate ‘em, the Jersey Shore kids will be back for season two but this time they’re taking the madness to Miami.
Preparation for season two is scheduled to begin in two weeks but it’s not yet public info where in Miami the cast will live. The highly anticipated second season is set to premiere some time this summer.
According to TV Guide, the first season of MTV’s hit show filmed in Seaside Heights, NJ and premiered in December 2009 to 1.3 million viewers. Season 1’s final episode scored 4.8 million viewers.
I have a feeling that even some of those folks who pretend they don’t like the show probably watch it on the low. It’s OK, we won’t tell. But anyway, are you excited to see the Jersey Shore invading South Beach?
